Teodora Grkinic is an artist, designer and maker living in Berlin. Her sensibility is rooted in her love of storytelling, old things and nature.
Teodora believes in the value of craftsmanship and the beauty of unique, imperfect pieces that show the hand of their maker.
Her furniture is developed in small collections, with only a few pieces made from each design.
Teodora holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and a Master’s degree in Interior and Furniture Design, both completed in her hometown of Belgrade, Serbia.
During and after her studies, she worked in her family’s company, designing and making women’s clothing.
Throughout her bachelor’s studies, she developed a love of painting, which remains one of her main forms of expression.
In 2018, she found a discarded box of 1970s slides in her neighborhood, which became an ongoing project of painting motifs from those photographs.
Since moving to Berlin, Teodora has also worked in a restoration workshop, where she learned hands-on furniture restoration.
